Hi all this is sahith and iam using Xperia ARC . I am planning to buy Xperia Z, but people are saying that users are facing many problems regarding software and hardware.
Here are some reviews i got please let me know whether they are really true
1.Phone is getting super heated after 15/20 min usage (like attending calls and gaming. Is this because Z is water&dust resistant the design wont let air in so its packed and chip and hardware getting heated?)
2.Signal drops suddenly in GSM
3.phone stops suddenly and dies off and unable to switch it on (but i heard sony is fixing this in next software update,is it true?)
WILL YOU PEOPLE REALLY SUGGEST THIS PHONE FOR ME? IS IT SAFE TO BUY COZ ITS REALLY COSTLY AND IF I DONT GET WORTH FOR MY PRICE I'VE TO REGRET....PLZ HELP ME OUT!!!

1. not quite, I haven't had this issue and use the phone quite often, it just gets warm after a while which is normal w/ all phones.
2. I've seen this with LTE, but this could be network coverage issues not so much the phone
3. Sony is working on this issue, I still haven't seen this on my Xperia Z.
I have multiple Xperia Phones (2010, 2011, 2012) and now the Xperia Z (2013) and I really love this phone, its amazing, the only few issues is that Sony should've add it a camera button and perhaps a second loud speaker, but overall an amazing phone.

For me heating issue is not a issue, all of modern smartphones are becoming quite hot under heavy load conditions. See HTC ONE X?
It is normal for fast processors. I rather prefer heating than lowering the cpu's clock... especially ehile gaming I don't want to see low framerate.
And as I Xperia Arc S which you are using is is becoming hot as well. Xperia Z is not hotter than this.
I know that because I was using Arc S some time ago.
Some people are stating that it is becoming hot while charging but again it is normal - Sony decided to use 1500mAh charger instead of typicall 500mAh to charge faster.
Thank you.

it is outstanding - no other mass market mobile phone can get even close
I used to worry about rain - pissed in the john - even touching my phone with wet hands, no longer
and I have not experienced any issues so far - it is simply outstanding and a credit to sony for realising that the device we all carry and use so much every day is now weatherproof - how cool is that - and it's got all the shit inside too - another inovation from sony that kakes it a market leader
don't listen to all the crap going around in forums and media - there will always be issues with devices that pack so much technology into such a small package, I'll bet that half those complaining of issues have hacked their phones and/or installed some dodgy SW - and they blame sony for that ?
My EZ is working to perfection and I'll keep using it without any mods until I'm sure it's stable

No, it is not worth buying.
I have mine bought on monday, now it is saturday and it is turning off and on and off and on every five minutes. I've now spend an afternoon and an evening to solve the problem without results. Renewing the software didn't help, not to say that i could not make a backup before because of that problem.
Buy anything other and it will work. For that price you can expect an working phone, not buggy bullshit.

I just bought this crap couple of days ago, and i don't recommend it to any body.
when sony present xperia z as a 5" full hd 1080p bravia engine 2 i would assume that this phone is all about display. guess what , it has the worst contrast and veiwing angles you will ever see in a 2013 phone let alone a flagship, colors are ridiculously whashed out .
when sony present xperia z as water proofed, i would assume that i can use this phone in water without the need to wait until the phone is dried (several hours to several days, it depends) to have the speaker volume back to its normal .
by the way xperia z might start non-stop vibrating and what ever you do it will not stop until battery is fully drained, as this happen to me yesterday.
so never buy this phone
shame on you sony
my last phone with u sony
