hi all

i just got my z5 couple days ago and i already have a problem with my phone

when im about to type a msg and i press a letter (lets say i press S one time) the phone will register it like this sssssssssssssssss

and it wont stop ... if i use facebook i cant scroll down because everytime i try it will enter every single post or picture

i also have a small recording of some of my problems where i have to press many times before the phone wants to do something

if i lock the phone and open again the problem goes away for some time and it happens again if i use it for a bit

i did reset/reinstall the phone .. same problem

Same thing here, the device is barely useable. Sony, this is very serious. You should immediately stop selling this model until this is sorted out!!

I have the same problem as well, but it doesn't happen as frequently as it sounds like it does for you guys... Hoping an update can fix it, do you think that is to much to hope for?

The phone works if your not doing anything with it. But when you start to use facebook or chrome or any other app the screen just stops working.

So it's pretty unusable. Software or hardware failure??

I have this exact problem... Received mine on Saturday, had the problem almost immediately after turning the phone on - usually happens when I'm scrolling through Facebook.. So went to the store I bought it from Monday morning, they wanted to send it to their repair center seeing as I couldn't show the problem to the sales clerk.. Today they called from the store and said they'd give me a new phone as they had problems with their in-house system so they couldn't register my phone or something.. Anyway, went there and got new one and I tried setting things up WITHOUT installing a single app that wasn't already pre-installed and it still did it! So it is NOT an app causing it unless it's one of the pre-installed ones...

Anyway I was trying to say that I'd like to note it doesn't "always" do it when it's been on for a while - mine did it Monday morning after only 5 mins on Facebook, so I rushed out the door to the store 'without' turning the screen off at any point (so that's 15 mins with the screen on) BUT as soon as I was close to the store, it started working without problem again.. Sometimes I can also be on Facebook for 20-30 mins, without the problem coming up...
