They've focused on X series, Z is outdated and Last Major Update for outdated always mean it's final and with full of bugs, same was with Xperia S, Xperia Z2/Z3.
The speaker does sound louder on the top because of the new update to nougat. I tried to download to old version one and it work fine. Then I upgraded to nougat, the problem comes back. I ask Sony centre and don't even know why. I explained about the update and they just being blur. Sony workers need to be experience n expert. Even I m not a worker of Sony, I knows everything about Xperia because Sony is my first phone till now. The problem is: Speaker problem of the update. Sony employees does not have a lot of experiences Hope Sony will fix soon. Or I will change to Samsung. I should make a review about the Sony speaker problem. Does anyone have the same problem?
I found that they limit maximum cpu clock to 1.56 Ghz for all 8 cores in android 7 while in android 6.0.1 it was 1.96Ghz for 4 A53 cores!!!! Sony please tell us what are you doing with z serries????? The features of android nougat for Z serries: Limit performance of cpu No vulkan api Lag in call log Weaker sound loudness Unbelievable battery drain Limit manual camera settings A lot of performance issues in games!!! Some UI bugs like setting force stopped randomly!! If you are going to destroy Z serries, you are doing fine job 😭
A53 cores in the Snapdragon 810 SoC have never been designed to run at @~2GHz though. It's the more powerful A57 cores, which are supposed to work at that. A53 cores are the "weaker & power efficient" ones, so it's logical that their max frequency is 1.55GHz.
Yap. I made a mistake between A53 and A57 cores but what is important is that they limit the frequency for all cores @1.56!!!but in android 6.0.1 it was 1.96Ghz for 4 A57 cores...another disaster is the opengl es version!!! They didnt even improve it to 3.2 version!!!Now the opengl es version is 3.1 exact the same in 6.0.1. Htc m9 get 98000 benchmark in antutu but z3 plus got 70000!!! How can they explain this???? They ruined the performance of the z5 serries with this update.
I use a z5 compact E5823 and was hesitant to upgrade in January am glad I didn't listening to the issues. I'm just wondering why now, if it was meant to be a reliable build are they dragging their feet patching the bugs?
