Sony A7ii viewfinder/monitor graphics

I cannot understand why the viewfinder/monitor info wasnt upgraded in the last firmware update to allow the histogram to be displayed with the electronic level or any other graphic, instead of the doubling of the aperture and shutter speed.

If there is a further firmware update, please write it in.

Is there a way to directly contact sony for firmware update requests?

I would love to be able to assign a custom key to switch between evf and lcd rather than having to go into the menu to find it, or rely on the over-sensitive eye detector to do the job!

 We wont get anywhere if people dont complain.

Problem is, people are all to happy to upgrade

You don't have to use Google to find it,

the Sony Support number is actually displayed on this Sony site

Jumpy... Instead of knocking my info, why didn't you inform the other post of this in the first place and provide the number instead of saying unfortunately not?

Unfortunately there really is no specific number that you can contact Sony

on regarding requests for future updates.

By all means people can phone a general Support number, individually, at seperate times

over a potentially lengthy period of time if they wish,  but this simply dilutes the strength of a request for any update features.(Plus you are then reliant on hoping other customers want the same features as you and you will have no idea if anyone else ever telephoned to make the same suggestion.) On the forum you can at least gage other members reaction and you have your request in writing

One telephone call to make a request will unfortunately not cause any electronic manufacturer to spend money implementing that individual's request either.

I hinted at one of the best ways to be noticed, however it is of course up to any individual whether they take that advice or not.

You never know, they may even make those updates of their own accord in the future.

This feature has been requested since the production of the A7. Yet Sony continue to ignore the requests or fail to acknowledge why the option isnt available.

As said elsewhere... Sony are more interested in introducing new models, not improving their older designs.
