Sorry!

I have just downloaded your manual and it does say that connecting your camera to a PC is not supported.  So there is no USB connection.  Presumably they expect you to edit the video in the camera and play the disc in a DVD Player.

You are going to need a VOB (MPEG-2) editing program.  The usual ones are: -

1. Corel Videostudio 2010

http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/gb/en/Product/1175263344580?trkid=UKSEMGglDV#tabview=tab0

2 Adobe Premiere Elemeints

3. Pinnacle Studio

http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/uk/Products/Consumer+Products/Products+List.htm

These usually offer a free trial - so if you do the job quickly, it can be finished before you have to buy!!!

You can import the vobs directly from the dvd disc and edit them, adding  titles, music, transitions etc. Save in a variety of formats, and even  make a new edited dvd from the same programme.

Hi Tanya,

There are lots of Tutorials showing you how to transfer Video to your computer on the Support Page for your model.  You can download the manual also: -

http://support.sony-europe.com/dime/camcorders/sd/dcc/dcc.aspx?site=odw_en_GB&m=DCR-DVD202E

You can either buy a USB cable or - the simplest way - check if your computers DVD Drive accepts 8cm discs and if it does then finalise the disc in the Camcorder and place the disc in your computer's DVD drive.
