Has anyone else experienced the circular frustration arising from an attempt to edit an email address for signing in to a Sony account? The address I used to create the account has not been accessible since 2017. Attempting to edit it once I sign in takes me through the process of validating the new email, receiving confirmation that the address has changed, but the new address is rejected when I try to sign back in.
This is fine, as long as I never need to do anything which requires access to my old email address; but of the scores of online accounts which needed the email address changed, Sony is the only one to provide this headache, and there doesn't appear to be any contact information specifically for website support.
TBH, it's all a bit *****. My only solution seems to be to delete the account and re-register, but I don't know if it's worth the effort.
