BDP-S370 error VER5706

My S370 occasionally throws up an error VER 5706 on the display. The machine is now locked up and the only way to recover from it is to power-cycle it. This is a pain as the power cable is captive and there is no power switch on the back of the box so I have to turn it off at the wall socket which is not easy to get at as it is under my A/V rack.

This error only occurs when it is turned on. I can't find any reference to it on the 'net. Anyone know what causes this and, more importantly, how to fix it? My box has the latest firmware

Hi, maybe try a factory reset from the settings menu? Normally clears any software errors..

Thanks

I have the exact same problem with my BDP-570. Only way to fix it is a power cycle.
