New receiver line up 2023

Hello can anybody confirm if the new receiver line up will come to europe? please tell me yes.

The new Sony ES line-up consists of STR-AZ1000ES (7.2ch), STR-AZ3000ES (9.2ch), STR-AZ5000ES (11.2ch), and STR-AZ7000ES (13.2ch). In addition, there is a new STR-AN1000 (7.2ch or 5.2.2ch) – the successor to STR-DN1080.

Hi there,

We don't have any details and would recommend keeping an eye on the website and social pages for all the latest announcements.

Best wishes,

Sean

Interestingly the Sony.co.uk page for the STR-DN1080 now says price unavailable.     Wonder if that means it's discontinued and about to be replaced.

All over I read that ES line won't come to Europe at all. Do somebody know why?

Would it be possible to travel to the US, purchase a STR-AZ3000ES, bring it back to Europe and use it here without any adaptations?

It annoys me that wd Europeans are excluded from buying these products!

You would need a step-down transformer for 120v, and you might still have trouble with the 60Hz versus the 50Hz here.

The receiver might not work either - Sirius certainly not, FM and AM probably not:-

Oh, I am well aware of the difference in voltage and frequency, but most electronic devices today have built-in auto switching power supplies that will handle this issue. So I guess my question relates to the psu in these units - does it have the capacity to auto switch?

I couldn't care less about the radio functions - I honestly don't see why it is built into a home theatre amplifier.

Sorry, I had no idea what your level of expertise and interest in the various features was, and it’s usually safest to make no assumptions, especially for those contemplating a transatlantic flight 😛

I think you will need to ask your question of Sony USA; though it might be worth finding out if European units autoswitch in the opposite direction.

I suppose this won’t do you?:-
