RDR-HXD790 won't stay tuned

My hdd recorder tunes OK but loses all the digital channels when it is switched to standby or if the power supply is interrupted. All functions work OK providing the device is left turned on. I have tried resetting to factory settings but to no avail.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It's a known problem that was discussed in this forum. Control that you have the latest firmware installed (1.24) and follow the istruction in this thread https://www.sony.it/discussions/message/652958#652958

Thanks for that. I found the relevant thread last night and downloaded firmware update, made a CD and planned to install it today. However, I switched on the stupid machine and all was OK. After almost a week of searching for a remedy the damn thing seems to have cured itself.
