Anyone else suffered a screen failure with Bravia TV KDL 37EX503?

Loyal Sony buyer for many years. Always believed it was worth paying the premium for quality. KDL 37EX503 TV screen has failed after 18 months. Vertical green line visible on screen. Called Sony Support. Basically told that I am entitled to no support. Very disappointed and won't be buying a Sony product again. Such a fundamental element of a TV to fail after such a short time in 2012 is unacceptable.

Anyone else had a similar problem?

Hi Dunc968.. I have a Bravia KDL-26EX302 bought it April 2010 ...Started having sound problem december 2011 that has disappeared... Now i have a problem when switching on the tv in the morning..

The screen on start up is black then the picture takes 15 to come through, i thought it might be my virgin media box settings...:smileyconfused:
