I have a 55HX853 can't used the Speaker stand can I buy seperate speakers ??

I have a 55HX853, the stand unit I have for it means it is not mounted on the supplied speaker intergrated stand (SIS).  It does not sound to good.  I was wondering does anyone have a speaker diagram for the SIS and can I buy speaker/speakers and plug them into the SIS socket on the rear of the TV?  Is it just a centre speaker or are there more than one speakers involved? Finaly can anyone tell me what the plug/socket name is that comes on the SIS so I can buy a plug to build my own speaker set up?   I know I could take the supplied SIS to pieces but I am trying to get around that.

Hi,

you should not attempt to change or modify the speakers in this manner as you will immediately invalidate any warranty you have for this tv.

you could purchase a soundbar or home cinema kit and connect that to the digital optical out from the tv, all you need to do to make that work is change the setting under sound/ speakers/ tv speakers to audio system.
