KDL-40CX523 suddenly will not connect to Internet.

I started getting "No cable connection" error. It used to work fine.

My Apple TV2 works fine to HDMI via ethernet cable from the router.

But the TV itself will not connect to the internet via ethernet cable.

I have tried switching ethernet cables to a known good one. No good.

Obviously restarting, rebooting router. No Good.

Tried Updating firmware by downloading file and appplying via USB - but I just get "Latest version installed." Don't know how to force re-install it. Not possible to install older firmware.

Does this mean the ethernet circuit is caput?

Hi

Try a factory reset and then setup the connection again on the TV. This niormally fixes any glitches. details in the smart TV FAQ sticky.
