When I turn on my KDL 40NX723 via the remote or from the side buttons the sound will initially come on and then go off. To recover the sound I have to put the TV back into standby and turn on again. Some times this procedure has to be repeated 2 or 3 times. The TV is set up with a Sony sound bar. I have checked that I have the latest firmware and I have completed a factory reset. All cable connects have been rechecked. Sound settings are correctly set. The sound works correctly once it has overcome the initial loss. I purchased this some 11 months ago and have not been able to overcome the fault. Everything otherwise is working correctly so I assume it is a firmware issue. Do any other members have this issue? Is there a work around?
