On-screen input info permanently displayed - how do I delete it?

Using Home Theatre System HT-SF100 with Receiver STR-KS100 and Bravia TV KDL-40U2000.

Somehow the normally perfect system is displaying the HDMI input details at top left of screen and does not time out as it should.
