Setting up avr

I have recently bought a strdn 1030 av amp to work with my Sony blue ray, Sony DVD/hardisk. Sky had box and a new sonos connect.  I have managed to set the system up but have two issues . First I can't turn the tv off without the amp going off when listening to just music -  how can I do this.   Secondly the sonos is connected via the optical cable and works but the volume has to be considerably higher than any other volume to work.

Currently I have.  Hdmi from blue ray to hdmi blue ray input on amp

Hdmi from amp to Sony tv

Hdmi from sky to tv ( so I don't have to always use amp) ...but only 1 hdmi on sky box

Hd DVD is older with no hdmi ..but has optical and coaxial I am using the coxaxical lead to amp

Tv to amp via optical (tv input)

Sonos is connected via optical to assignable optical input on amp

Hi there

There may be a setting on your tv called Auto Devices Off in the HDMI Settings

According the the onscreen manual on my TV: Audto Devices off - Turns off the connected equipment when you turn off the TV.

Hope that helps
