SETTING UP SONY TV & HOME CINEMA SYSTEM WITH MY V+ BOX

I want to be able to hear my TV programmes (which come through my Virgin Media V+ box) through the speakers on my Sony DAV-TZ135 Home Theatre System (HTS) but I can't figure out how to do it.  My TV is Sony Bravia BX42.

I only have 2 HDMI leads and no optical cable.

Am I missing something by not setting it up right?

When I had my Bush TV and Phillips DVD player, I was able to hear my TV programes (from V+ box) through my Philips HTS.  Likewise, my parents can hear their TV programmes through their Samsung HTS.

Please oh please can somebody help me.  I am so upset that it's not working.  Thank you.

Hi

Don't think the one you chose has optical in which is what you would need. Did the store tell you it did when you purchased it? Maybe you can speak to them and see if you can change it for something more suitable?
