Sky remote won't activate HDMI automatically

I have recently purchased a kdl50w656 tv, I have put my sky+ HD box into the HDMI 1 connection. I have programmed my sky controls so that I can operate my tv using them, all of a sudden I am unable to activate my sky automatically through the sky controls, I have to select the HDMI option via the tv remote. Please can you help me to solve this problem.

Hi
If you want, that when you turn on Sky+ HD box, turns on automatically and in HDMI Mode your TV, I think till now, is not possible (with about all TVs!).
The reason is that Sky+ HD boxes (all?, quite all?) have HDMI 1.1 and not CEC compliant!

It’s possible only with Scart connections!

PS
CEC
Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) is an HDMI feature designed to allow the user to command and control up-to 15 CEC-enabled devices, that are connected through HDMI, by using only one of their remote controls (for example by controlling a television set, set-top box, and DVD player using only the remote control of the TV). CEC also allows for individual CEC-enabled devices to command and control each other without user intervention”

“CEC has been in the HDMI specification since version 1.0, but only began to be used in consumer electronics products with HDMI version 1.3a
