TV freezes whilst watching freeview HD channels

Has anybody come across this problem.

Whilst watching the Freeview HD  channels i.e. 50,51,52,53,54 the picture and sound freezes/stops for approx 1  maybe 2 seconds  and then carries on. It is intermittent and only occurs on the HD channels; all other freeview channels are ok.

Have changed cables etc but still problem exists.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi there!

Iv had exactly the same problems myself and only on the HD channels as you describe! Iv tried all the 'advance settings' to make sure my tv is not automatically changing settings and making the sound freeze!

Im sorry I can't help, but at least you know it's not just yours! If anyone could shed any light on this I too would be most greatful

I also have the same issue. I have a 40 CX523BU and I am getting the same on all HD channels.

A fix would be good !

update to the problem.

First thanks to those who have replied.

I contacted Sony Support who suggested afirmware update which can be done online.

Use the following links to check your fimware vsn.

HOME----PRODUCT SUPPORT---SYSTEM INFO----VERSION NO

After the update this should read:

PKG3-505EUA-0104

Since th update Ive NOT had any problems at all (keep fingers crossed).
