Unable to connect to the WiFi .

We have just brought a Bravia TV and I need help to connect to WiFi internet.  It keeps asking for a seriel number which I have not got - it selects one autiomatically (this varies) but still will not actually connect.  Help please.

Hi,

your tv is asking you to input the passphrase key usually found on the label on the back of your wireless router which usually consists of a group of letters.

you may also be able to connect using the WPS button on your router. turn on the tv make sure  if using a cable it's connected to tv and router, or if using wireless that dongle is attached to tv or if wireless tv that it is enabled

Hi,

Also if you end up inputting the code (WPA key) manually you need to make sure that you use uppercase and lowercase characters correctly.  You can toggle between lowercase (default setting) and uppercase by pressing the relevant coloured button on your tv remote - it was the blue one on mine - it should tell you at the bottom of the screen which one to use.
