Hi Daina,

Thanks for getting back to us with your model info.

There's a guide to help you get the best picture settings for your TV here. There's also some info here about Motionflow which should help if your picture is blurred watching sports. Hope this helps.

Best wishes,

Ed

Regarding your instructions ie it’s best to begin with adjusting the basic settings could I point out that the tv doesn’t have a light setting? ,reality creation only has auto manual and off settings, and also does not have a back light setting.

Are we discussing the tv I have or is my tv not as the specification it should be

Hi Daina,

The availability of the functions will depend on the model of TV.  You can find your specific TV functions in the manual here. There is also a basic picture settings guide here.

Hope this helps with your settings.

Best wishes,

Ed

Hi Daina,

The way I see it is that there is no perfect picture settings in the sense that what you view to be the best picture differs from person to another and from a room to another since ambient light falling on the screen plays a major part.

Having said that, I've checked this article which gives you an idea of what each of the picture settings found on your TV affects so I'd recommend checking it out first. On the other hand, this link shows you how to optimize the way objects look in action using MotionFlow technology which is supported on your TV.

As for this one, you will find that it doesn't apply directly to your TV in terms of where the menu items are because it's a guide for Android TVs, but the method itself has nothing to do with the system of the TV. You can try adjusting the settings that apply to your TV until it looks best to your eyes. For example, in the preparation section, all you need is to disable Reality creation, and any noise reduction features which can all be found in Settings - Advanced settings - Picture. Whereas Auto Display Area can be found in the Screen sub menu in System settings.

PS: don't forget the community is for and by users, it's not an official support platform.

Hope this helps.

This is my picture settings for my 7073, I got my picture settings from rtings who use all the best equipment for the most accurate picture. I do hover between 20/25 backlight though.

HDR is the same but with backlight and contrast at max with video picture mode.
