Back Up & Vaio Club

Hi you Vaio experts.
Please help with following problems?
1) back up fails to complete,I insert new disc it asks me I want to format which having said yes back up starts get about 60% + through up to "file f" then aborts, I keep getting reminded back up is overdue.
2) How do I stop Vaio Club wanting to update each time I switch on.

Is this the Vista Backup? If so, I'm not completely surprised, there seems to be a common problem!!!

There is a 'patch' for My Club Vaio - click on "NEWS" at the top of this screen and follow the links to the 'My Club Vaio Patch'.
