Backlight problem

Hello,

On my VGN-S2XP, I discovered that the backlight is stronger on the center and very weak on the left and right edge of the screen.
This phenomenon is very visible when running at the lowest level. If I switch to full backlight, the screen is nearly perfect.

Is that behavior normal for my wide LCD screen ?
Does anyone have observed the same problem ?

Hi Ravens

I have a VGN S2VP and at the lowest light setting, there are no dark edges as described by you. You should check it out against a unit on display e.g. at PC World to assess if your's is faulty.
