Battery Life-Reduced from 2.5 hours..to 1.5 hours -E series

    Hi Everyone ,

I Purchased a VAIO E series-on February 2011!!!Since 2 Days,the bateery which seemed to work properly ,has been showing problem.At Startup ,it shows 3 hours Baterry full,but then after sometime it reduceds to 1 hour and 40 minutes at 95 %!!so , i have to keep it charged aprroximately after using it for an hour!! Well this is not the reason why i had bought a laptop for...the programs are runnign smoothly ,,the baterry issue ..really worries me as i have to take ot for lecturers!!!

does any other vaio E series ..user experience the same problem...please advice on what on what i could do and what actually went wrong!!!ba

I think you should contact Vaio Support if you think the battery is faulty.  They will ask you soime questions and ask you to carry out some tests to check the battery.

I presume you have checked that you are using a 'maximum battery' power plan and that all unnecessary services like bluetooth, WiFi, Optical drive, USB power etc. are turned off.

Battery life does vary with what you are doing and what you have turned on.
