Black Onyx Screen

Hi There! Is anyone experiencing a pink hue to their screen when initially switching on their Vaio? if so, is it normal and if not how can it be cured?

Could be the pixels degrading prematurely or a problem with the voltage control to the screen, how old is the laptop?
Needs a new LCD to be honest.

Warranty claim claim claim quick as you can.

'fraid it's common in some VAIOs like the GRX

Kee-lo,

Do you agree with Ash911 that it could be a pixel premature degrading problem or a voltage control problem???

To me it sounds like a problem with voltage control.

That could be down to a faulty LCD Inverter. You can have them repaired by The Techno-Mark if your VAIO is out of warranty.

Thanks James, but Vaio-Link say they have replaced the inverter.

I'm not sure if it's voltage

If its not the inverter, then it might be the LCD itself.

I would keep an eye on this, and ring consider a repair if the hue problem appears during a Windows session.
