blu-ray drive uj230as firmware VAIO FW

Hi all,

I tried to watch Australia on blu-ray yesterday but the disc wouldn't play due to the firmware. I have seen new firmware is available to the US but i am assuming this is different. - Can anyone confirm this and has anyone else encountered the same problem with other blu-ray discs?

Hi richhaywood and welcome.

Sony have agreed there is a more up to date version of WinDVD BD available but it is not yet on the download site.

I have asked for an ETA for this to be available as it has been on the US site for six weeks.
