Can i connect my Notebook with my TV?

Hi i wanted to know, can i connect my notebook with my TV?
I have a VGN-NR11Z/T notebook and a VGA connection and my TV too.

If your TV has a VGA connection then I think you need a normal D-Sub 15-pin Monitor Cable like this one: -

If you want sound, you will need to connect your headphone socket to your TV audio in. You will need something like this: -

yes i have a d sub cable but i dont't know how i can change or adapt the resolution from my notebook to my tv.
Do you know how?

Your tv will never have the same resolution as your laptop. A TV is not as sharp as a monitor. Can you get a picture at all on your tv? If you can, then that's all you can do. If not, make the connections and use Fn+F(something) - the one that changes the display output.

I have not mean my tv with the resolution, i have mean my laptop if i can change there the resolution for the tv
