Can I upgrade my S5VP to WIN Media Centre or 64Bit without any major issues??

How will my S5VP respond if I upgrade to Media Centre or Windows 64Bit. I have heard these OS's are not the most stable yet??? Any tips or experience on this subject would be grateful. I currently have XP PRO SP2 which works fine.

For a start, Windows 64bit won't work, it's for 64bit CPUs, and the S5 doesn't have one of those, so forget that idea.

Windows Media Centre Edition is Windows XP with Media Components, so you shouldn't have too many problems, as long as your graphics are supported.

To be honest stick with the XP you have, and just get some good media centre software for it

On Sony's website it says:

Microprocessor Full Name Intel® Pentium® M processor 770 533 MHz FSB, Supports Enhanced Intel SpeedStep® Technology

Sorry, it's not 64bit
