colour screen level

On my new FS 195 XP it is not possible to define a high colour quality level of the screen, because at restart the screen automatically changes to low quality level (8 bit).
Have anyone any advice for this setting problem ?

That's strange. Are the graphics drivers correct installed?

I follow the instructions on VAIO update to update the drivers and every file was correctly updated (I hope)

yes, I again downloaded and installed the video drivers; after restarting automatically changes the colour setting.
Can anyone explain me this strange condition ?
