Connecting to a LAN

I am having troubles connecting my Sony vgn-fs115b notebook to our existing LAN. I can connect to the internet via our broadband hub but I cannot see any other computers on the LAN. Any ideas?:smileyconfused:

Is your notebook setup with the same workgroup as the other machines on the lan?
