Directsound error: 80004005 bad driver

Hi,
I have installed WinXP Pro on my VGN-FE31H and I have installed the kb888111 driver and then the Sigmatel Audio drivers. But when I try to listen Winamp or try to make a DirectX Test, Audio fail and it's show this error: 80004005 generic, bad DirecSoundCreate.....

Any idea to how fix this error??

Thanks,

Hi.,
Do you mean that you`r buy a notebook whit xp home on it ???
and that you put xp pro by you`r self on you`r notebook.
if you chance xp home into xp pro you must back up all you`r old drivers and put them back.
U`r know it`s a bad driver so when you chance the driver for a good one it must working as before .,I wich you luck Josnixs

No, i have formatted the partition with Xp MC and I have installed Win XP PRO + SP2. Then I have download and installed the kb888111 for high definition audio and then I have installed the Sigmatel Audion find in C:\Drivers.
But when I try to listen anything the first time work but the other appear an error message 80004005 Bad DirectSound.....
I don't know how to to....

In setting>hardware, in the Audio Games section there are 5 items,
Video Codec
Audio Codec
Last audio drivers
Support peripherals control (or something, I have try to translate....)
Sigmatel Audio CODEC

But if I try to enter to properies on Sigmatel it's shown that it WORK but there are error....
Any idea?
