Disable Bluetooth

Hi,

I've got a Sony VGN - SZ1VP/C notebook and for the last couple of reboots Ive noticed that the blue tooth light is now permanently on. I remember in the past that there used to be a green panel in the system tray which i could click on and enable or disable bluetooth. This panel has now vanished. I tried using the Vaio control center but cant find any bluetooth setting under the network area. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi James and welcome to the forum,

Try re-installing the Wireless Switch Setting utility. This can be found either in C:\Utilities (model dependant) or can be downloaded from Vaio-Link as part of the pre-installed utilities package.

Done a a reboot of my system and again the bluetooth symbol is showing in the system tray and the blue light is still on. Is there an application i can search for on my machine which opens up that green window i remember where you can turn bluetooth on and off?
