DVD +R detection problem

Hey everyone,

I'm the (lucky) owner of a Vaio PCG-GRT815. My only problem is with DVD drive.
I have absolutely no problems to read +RW dvd. But for "classic" +R (not rewritable), the dvd (with data inside) is just not detected. (and i tested it on my other computer who saw it just fine)

Any idea how to fix this ? Are DVD -R more friendly with my Vaio ? Can i update something, bios, firmaware anything to make him recognise these +R dvd (it's some verbatim)

Have you checked Vaio-Link for any relevant firmware updates for your optical drive?

Could it be multisession +R DVD burned on the DVD drive? In this case sometimes you can not see it.

Yeah my GRX doesn't like multisession DVDs
