[FE11H] Beeping during boot

During startup, just after the vaio splash screen, the boot process freezes and there is a loud constant beep until I hold down anyone of the keyboard keys for a few seconds. After I have done this the boot process contiunes as normal, but its annoying to have to keep doing this.

Does anyone know what causes this? and how to fix it?

Hi there

A couple of references on the net say that this is a RAM problem.

Have you changed RAM recently?

Even if not it may be worth checking that the sticks are seated properly.

I havent recently changed/upgraded the RAM.
But I gave them a check just incase like you said.

Still getting the same beeping. Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

It sounds like you may need some new ram sticks

I'd suggest trying crucial.com for them - some of the prices are great.
