Hi there,
i´ve been a FE31Z Vista user for a few monts. Everything works fine except i had this Vista blank screen problem, which should have been solved by the bios upgrade. Unfortunately i wasn´t able to install it. The upgrade tool always quitted with the message, that it couldn´t read the system informations.
.. until a few minutes ago! 
I accidentially inserted the battery and IT WORKED(of course I´m not sure if that was the reason)
I always worked without the battery. So here´s my question: Is it possible that you have to use the battery and the AC plug?
I hope some FE31Z users with the same problem find this thread and try this one out. I was looking for a solution for months! Neither forums nor Sony support could help me!
