Formating and system restore? i think...

Hello,
My vaio laptop is full of viruses and is running ever so slow. i've done a full factory restore but this hasnt solved the problem at all. I've been told i need to format my drives, but i have no idea how to. I also don't want any of the pre-installed programs. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Do a backup of your files, boot by your recovery DVD and do a full system restore. That will do the job.

Hello thanks for the help but my laptop did not come with any restore cds / dvds. Any other ideas?

Back up all important data first then follow this guide and when you get to point 10 select Complete recovery..

Also now may be a good time, if you've not done so already, to create a couple recovery disc sets..
