Future firmware updates

I read somewhere (probably baseless rumour) that a future firmware update would give us video playback, and ebook viewing.

I can imagine the the video playback is a bit optimistic, but the ebook feature doesn't seem too difficult, at least with repects to the processing power limits. This would also be fantastically cool.

What is the likelyhood? Was this just BS?

Ah I didn't... thought I was being original. But not too surprised. It is quite dire quality, but still better than nothing none the less.

A good App for ebooking would be useful, regardless. Let me have a play around.

Josh,
If you have them in PDF convert to text and use something like TXT > WAV then you can convert to ATRAC then put it on VAIO Pocket.

The voice is a little robotic.
