FZ38M - 4GB Ram installed but vista shows 3GB

Hi, i was wondering why the home premium vista preinstalled on my FZ38M shows 3GB ram instead of actually 4GB installed?

Hi sunnyboy85 and welcome to Club Vaio.

This is normal because 32-bit Vista can only use a maximum about 3GB of RAM.

Also the specifications of your Vaio do say that the amount over 3GB may not be available to the system: -
