Getting Function Keys to work with Vista

I have a VAIO FS315M running Vista Ultimate.

How do i get the fuction keys to work?

Also i have seen a few posts talking about BIOS updates required?

Do i need to do a BIOS update?

Well I did have the problem but I have solved it by installing the utilities found on this page. Click on the link called Utilities (bottom left). Install ALL the utilities for your laptop. By the way I didn't have to do a BIOS update.
