Hard Drive

How can I get to the hard drive to swap and try vista as I have a spare sata 120gb hard drive. My laptop is VGN-A517S. Also is there any vista drivers for this laptop as I dont see this model mentioned in the vist drivers web page.

Hi Fuckdustcharlie,

Here is a link to a text guide to replacing the HDD in a Vaio A series (your model may differ slightly) and a further pictorial link for disassembly (not HDD replacement).

As far as I am aware there are no A series Vista drivers developed by Sony as yet but here is the link to keep any eye on….
