High CPU temperature

I have a PCV-RS604 (pentium 4 - 3.4 ghz) and here is my Everest temperature control: Isn't it a bit high especially for the CPU?

Non, c'est bon ca, mais avec l'air compresser tu peut reduire la challeur sur le processeur

Thanks Kee-lo!

Glad to hear it is a normal temperature for the CPU of the RS604.
I was about to purchase a new ventilator.

Merci d'essayer de parler Français. Ca fait plaisir

I have gone through many forums, and many say that 65° - 70° Celsius is really too much for the CPU.

Is it really fine as Kee-Lo said or should I do something to lower it? Kee-Lo seems to know his stuff but I would like to get more opinions about it.

It gets to 75° C while playing high end 3D games... :slight_frown:

Hypnotix, keep cool.

I would say you have to change the CPU cooler or just the fan of it. And cleaning the CPU for renewing of thermal paste too, I would say. And new PC fans.

You can clean everything off course, but nothing lives forever.

Every PC doctor in your near should do that for little money. It should be done within minutes.

LOL I'm half French

I did say that using compressed air will help quite a bit, as it's heading towards being too hot

I cleaned everything and the temperature fell down to 55° c.
