i can't Write DVD !!!

Hey Guys,
i have Sony Vaio FS115S
i want to write DVD
but when i start to burn my CD !!! my DVD-ROM will be open and show me an error to say : I can't write on this cd !
i try with 2 CD
DVD+R and DVD-R
also i can't create recovery with DVD .. i create recovery with CD !
i have SAME error when i want to create recovery CD with DVD !
is there somebody can help me ??
i buy my laptop just 7 day
I AM WAITING FOR REPLY ....

Sounds like a faulty drive or a poor disk support. Try Verbatim, Sony sells them on their site. If it not work, then send it back to your reseller.

Click "My Computer"

Rightclick on the drive > properties > hardware

there you should see the harddisk, your memorystick drive and your optical drive. On my VAIO it's a SONY DVD RW DW-U50A. (PCG-FR315S)

my Disk Drives : HITACHI_DK23FA-80

That should be a good drive. Mine works perfekt. Maybe you got a black sheep.:smileysad: Send it back and ask for a replacement.

i call to my resseler .. he say come here with me next 3 day
he is friend ! if my DVD rom have problem on hardware he will back it and give me new one !
but ... you have any tools for how i can test my DVD if problem on hardware or something like that ?
or any software for writing DVD !!!

Mmmh, I burn my DVDs with Nero, but that wouldn't help here.
I use "Intenso" DVDs.
