i can't Write DVD !!!

Hey Guys,
i have Sony Vaio FS115S
i want to write DVD
but when i start to burn my CD !!! my DVD-ROM will be open and show me an error to say : I can't write on this cd !
i try with 2 CD
DVD+R and DVD-R
also i can't create recovery with DVD .. i create recovery with CD !
i have SAME error when i want to create recovery CD with DVD !
is there somebody can help me ??
i buy my laptop just 7 day

But in the past was a lot threads here in CV. All with the same problem. "I can read CDs but no DVDs", "I can't burn DVDs". That's why I don't like these drives.:smileygrin:

If you want burn DualLayer DVDs with Nero, then you need a Update which you can download on the Nero site.

go on to viao support web site and download the latest firmware for your drive install and try that I use Ritek -R never a bad one It might also be worth trying different software as opposed to sony's suppliued rubbish you can download atrial of nero from their website.

ya E-Support wont work ! i think problem is my internet provider ! but problem is from Sony Server !!!

Woolfie I have downloaded the update for the DVD drive and according to Sony they have fixed most of the bugs well you never know I will keep trying and I can always come back here:smileygrin:

I think I will need to use the phone Seb and I agree Crow the problem is prolly with the Sony server coz alot of ppl are complaining about not being able to use e-support.
