I want buy a 1024 DDR-Ram Chip for VAIO Notebook

I have a question about the 1024 DDR-Rams!

Where I can buy a 1024 DDR-Ram Chip for my Notebook VAIO VGN-A317M? In the Sony Style Store? And how much I must pay for one chip? And can I use two 512 DDR-Rams for my model?

Thanks to all answers!

Is the information on VAIO-Link correct, then you could use DDR2-400. And you could upgrade your VAIO up to 1GigaByte RAM.

But you must need to know which sort of RAM you need. The DDR2 laptop RAM which I have found has 200Pins. But some manufacturer use normal desktop PC RAM for desktop replacement laptops. (which would have 240Pins)

Transcent SO-DIMM 512MB DDR2-533

Transcent DIMM 512MB DDR2-533

You could buy for example by Alternate

Or directly from the manufacturer.
