hi there
im having a problem and it's driving me crazy so im hoping someone here can help.
i have a vaio laptop and a canon camcorder and am trying to link the 2 from the dv port on the camera and the ilink port on the laptop..
i turn on the camera 
. windows reconises the new hardware then asks me for the drivers. which i dont have.
so i do have connection to the machine as it comes up in device manager the name of my camera ( canon mv500 ) with a little yellow thingy next to it .. lovely.
called the sony support who have told me my year warrenty is up even tho i bought the dam thing new in may..
when i installed the camera on my pc through the typical firewire port .windows found the hardware and installed the driver for me so im a little confussed to why it won't do it on the laptop. ive searched the net for information on this with no luck..
i have xp running on both machine. ive got a headache..
i hope someone can help ...cheers
