Illuminated Vaio logo on screen

Hi all AR11M/S owners

This may be a strange question, but have just noticed that when i have Media Player 11 running, and maxinise the screen the logo lights go off, then when you minimize it comes back on, this only happens with MP11, is this mormal?

P.s got rid of the AR21s as there were more noises/buzzing/clicking etc coming out of it, it was driving me mad.

Changed it for a 21M, much happier now, a quiet laptop again!

yes, this is normal, there are 4 programs that will turn the logo light off:

media center
windows media player
intervideo windvd for vaio
intervideo windvd bd for vaio (guess this one is only on the 11S and 21S)


I'm still looking into a solution to alter some more program's to this list like it's more fun gaming with the backligt turned off.

So to answer short to your question : Yes it's normal that when you maximize WMP11 that the baclight for the logo turns off (and it only does it when maximized for all 4 program's)
