Wrong Volume Error

I'm having a problem with the following error whenever i open an application that checks the CD Drive:

" The wrong volume is in the drive. Please insert volume NEW into drive F:. "

I know that this error was caused by accidentally removing something from add/remove programs in control panel, so if anyone has any idea as to which driver (i assume it was a driver) i have removed i could try and fix it.

I'm using a Vaio VGN-FS215S,

Any help or suggestions would be greatly received,
AK

Hi AK207,

Have you tried doing a system restore (not Recovery) to a point before the Wrong Volume error appeared..:smileyhappy:

Hi Thalamus,
i haven't - don't actually know how, but the error seemed to fix it's self on restart, thanks for your help anyway
