Installing Vista on K115

Has anybody had any sucess installing vista on K115,as I have tried 4 builds now latest 5744 ,and I can only get it to install to the stage of expanding files at 27% where it reboots then just freezes.Has done this on all the builds I tried, even upgrade or clean install.Interested on your experience with this.Thanks

Have you tried running the Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor to see if your Vaio can run Vista without upgrading?

Do you have 15 GB of free space on your 40GB hard disc?

512 MB of memory is the absolute minimum - have you added any?

Upgrade advisor states that I can run vista.Have 512 mb ram and 100gig hard drive with 35gig free,strange as I have a 4 year old desktop machine and it installs and runs fine

All depends on specs. As the first > 1Ghz machines came out 4 years ago, some older machines will be fine with Windows Vista

sure i have vista installed never had any problems with installing various distribution of linux, vista as well, the only problem with vista there is no graphic drivers from ati yet and Fn keys dont work so you cant adjust brightness (sorry - tlere is the solution
)

my solution is have you upgraded bios since you bought your k115?
