low audio through external speakers

hello everybod,
i now have a new FE28B upgraded from an old DELL inspiron and on the whole am very pleased i have switched to SONY except...

when i plug in my non powered external speakers to my headphone jack the output volume is very low. the DELL was fine great volume but my SONY 😞

i have all the volumes to max etc.

was wondering if i should use a different driver etc?

this is all highly frustrating as i listen to a lot of music can anyone please suggest any solutions please...

Hi paskie and welcome to the forum.

This may be of help to you - I believe your model has a BIOS option to increase the initial volume....

Thanks for the reply i uped the BIOS volume but that didnt work the overall output was still the same!!
Gonna try the other software VIDEO LAN but this is not the prefered solution, surely i thought it was a driver issue.
Anyway...
