jitters on audio & video play back

before i go any further
Sony Vaio vgn-fs115z

no macafe or notron installed
scan disks`d , defragged , spyware viri all checked for

all codec updated

oks here is my problem

when playing any video or audio

is jitters like crazy every few seconds so its impossible to watch or listen to anything

its even worse if that possible when i open a browser at the same time

all drivers updated

ive even inserted a new hard drive to rule out hard drive problems

these problems happen in all play back programs

i will be suprised & gratefull if anyone knows why all of a sudden

in the last few weeks this has happened

if no reply the only thing to do is totally dump windows

& run linux

at least that way i will know that the only reasonthings are not working on it is due to lack of development heh

tnx in advance if you respond any ideas will be cool

Overheating, causing passive cooling, has been known to cause this problem. I suggest that you download and run MobileMeter and let us know the CPU temperature while playing a video.

Also make sure you have the latest drivers for your Sony DW-D56A drive.
