can anyboty tell me if the vgx-XL201 is suppose to come with a remote sensor

Hi Twirls and welcome to Club Vaio.

Do you mean a sensor for the Media Centre Remote control. This is built into the XL-Series Vaios and is on the front, to the far right of the optical disc drive. No separate external sensor is used.

The wireless keyboard has a 2.4 GHz RF receiver built into the main unit.

Are you trying to connect a Sky Box?

Unless there is a difference for the XL 202, there is indeed a remote sensor, which can be place at a direct access point. I stuck mine onto the top of my Plasmascreen. That way I am pointing the keybord directly at the sensor when I look at the sceen.
